My Story…

I’ve been studying and practicing astrology since 2020. Before astrology, I was teaching Yoga full time, and way before that time, I had studied to become a Social worker.

My journey has evolved through time, just as I have. Each step leading me exactly where I needed to be.

It’s interesting because the Moon was one of my key inspirations when beginning my journey towards this path.

Beyond the typical Sun sign fascination, my interest in astrology began at one of my Yoga teacher trainings in 2019. Of course, the moon, representing the body, was even the key ingredient to me beginning yoga (around 2012) - to focus on nurturing and supporting the body, to have a practice that helped me connect to my emotional body.

In this training we did simple discussions and practices for the new and full moons, integrating ceremonial work into our teachings. This planted a seed that was to be awakened in 2020 when the world shut down and I was no longer teaching yoga, due to local restrictions.

Naturally curious, as a gEmini, a bought some books and started learning with all the free time I had.

a few months later, as I got deeper into astrology, I remember asking my mom for my exact birth time. I had an approximation of time that I had been using but as I learnt about the importance of timing, I wanted absolute certainty for my chart.

I discovered that my birth time was slightly different than I had initially been told (a difference of 40 minutes). This change in time, changed a few things on my chart, but mainly changed the sign that my Moon was in… which is huge!

I initially thought I had an Aries Moon, but with the correct time, it actually showed my moon was in taurus.

Woman with long red hair in a black strapless dress standing next to a large vase with pampas grass, inside an ornately decorated room with arches and a hanging lantern.

This was huge, and of course, it made way more sense. As a Taurus Moon, I’m much more grounded, laid back, enjoy the pleasures of life, have a need and desire for security, etc. as compared to the aries moon which is much more fiery, energetic, and has a high need of independence and autonomy. This Taurus Moon also created different aspects on my chart, which speak highly to my life experience, that wouldn’t have existed with the incorrect birth time.

This was a huge moment that changed things for me. It took astrology from being “interesting” to this is something that resonates so deeply, I’m amazed.

As my journey moved on, I felt myself constantly drawn back to the timing of events. I became obsessed (maybe still am) to discovering what astrology was happening at key moments in my life. Every time I look back at the astrology, I’m always blown away at how the astrological symbolism was speaking to that moment in time.

Astrology has become my go-to tool for navigating the experiences in my life. It has shown me themes and different things to look out for. along my path. It’s shown me how to align with the cosmic flow of energy, rather than to fight it. It’s given me peace of mind, when I’m experiencing a more difficult period, and within this shown me how to navigate and grow from these experiences. It gives me meaning to my life.

I believe that we’re all here on earth with some type of mission. We’re here to step into a fulfilling purpose in life (i believe there’s more than one) and along that path are lessons we acquire to help us grow and evolve into that purpose. I believe that astrology, the stars, the cosmos, have written this story and this is a tool we can use to help us move through these moments. It helps us not go into a situation blind, but rather aware of the current circumstances.

For example, when I know that I have a transit (this is a timing technique) coming up in my 4th house (which represents home & family), I know that I can expect some type of change in my home life/living situation. It could be minor or major. But knowing this, allows me to even reflect on my current situation. Am I happy where i am? Do I want things to change? What needs to change to be more in alignment with who I am in this moment? Is there a blind spot I’m not seeing?

Most of the time, we won’t know “exactly” what will happen, but we can predict the shift. We can prepare ourselves for what’s to come.

In 2021, I had just that. i had a change in my home life. I unexpectedly (except sort of expectedly from the transit in my 4th house😉) had an opportunity to drop everything and go travelling for a long time. My home changed literally. But also, my sense of “what was home” changed deeply for me.

Fast forward to now in 2026, also in another long-term 4th house transit, I’m currently travelling and my home has become wherever I am. It’s not tied to a specific place but I’ve created a life that I desire in this area of my life.

Astrology shows up so uniquely for each one of us, and that’s why I’m passionate about it. It helps us step into a path or version of ourselves that we want to explore or a part of ourselves that we were always destined to become.

And if it wasn’t already obvious, my passion for travel has also lead me down the path of locational astrology. Locational astrology is how we can tap into our location on the globe to activate different areas of our lives or different qualities within us that have layed dormant.

Location can change everything in how we feel and how we experience our life.

I experienced this first hand while growing up, living in different areas and even as I grew older and moved myself, I found a different version of myself birthed in new locations.

Once I discovered locational astrology, all of this made so much sense to me and It made me even more passionate about helping others through their location.
