The Introduction.
Fate, Destiny, & Free Will
Thanks for tuning in!
In this post I discuss my beliefs and personal philosophies and through this, how Klotho Astrology was born.
The first post here deserves no other than a proper introduction.
So Hey. I’m Jamie, the owner and creator behind Klotho Astrology.
This will differ from my intention behind the majority of my posts, but I thought there would be value for you in learning more about me and how this business was birthed.
I’m a believer that each piece of our path is a direct correlation to where we are today.
The lessons, the stories, all the pieces of what we experienced have been finely created to bring us to the present moment in time.
Each path is a thread, leading us to the next.
There are many different threads we can choose to take, each one leading us to another new possibility.
I believe that there are multiple possible versions of us. Each version is constantly being created by the choices that we make.
These different versions or destiny paths can be seen in our astrology.
Astrology is an archetypal language. The planets, the signs, the houses all contain unique symbolism and can show in a multitude of ways.
Most people don’t like to hear that. They don’t want to know that there are many possibilities with their chart - but that is the truth, and in my opinion, is the beauty of astrology.
The birth chart covers the entirety of your life. Everything from birth to death is seen within the chart. This means that the astrology must include the variety of experiences you have throughout your lifetime.
It’s going to include all the ups and downs and everything in between.
And, from what I’ve seen, it can show us different potentials based on how we respond to life and the decisions we make.
For example, let’s say someone had a lot of activity (aka planets) in the 6th house, which represents body health/illness and work. For this example, we can pretend this individual has the Sun, mars, saturn, and jupiter here. As an astrologer, I can make a very basic interpretation that these topics of health and work are going to be quite central in this person’s life. Just isolating this piece, I could possibly say that the individual may experience different illnesses in their life that they need to work through. Of course, illness (and especially chronic illness) can wear a person down. I don’t want to invalidate that experience in any way - as it is completely real and challenging. But, no matter the outcome, This person has the choice to continue to feel defeated, broken, etc. or they have the choice to make the best of the cards they were given. Maybe this person moves through theses challenges to later become a type of health professional, specializing in the same field that they struggled with.
We all know these types of people. They experience a challenging situation that they work through, only to come out stronger on the other side and share their inspiring story with others. They could have stayed stuck, but made a different choice.
As astrology shows us different potentials, it also shows us how we can choose to step forward differently in alignment with the path that feels more positive and fulfilling to us.
Is that path always easy? Hell no.
But, it’s a part of our own personal power that we can take to weave the fate that we desire.
And this is how Klotho Astrology was born.
Klotho, in mythic traditions, was one of the three Moirai, the fates. She was known as “The Spinner”. The Three fates were the ones who held the authority of the fate of all beings. They governed birth, inevitable turning points, and death. They wove destinies.
In the myth, it’s said the fates didn’t micromanage the day-to-day. They created the container of fate for each being.
The greeks believed that tragedy was not from the fates themselves, but rather from how people responded to circumstances.
Klotho, specifically, was the fate that was associated with birth, with the beginning of a new path. She spun the thread of life from her distaff onto her spindle. This thread represents a person’s life.
By spinning, Klotho initiates individual identity, free will, and possibility — though all are ultimately bounded by fate. Spinning represents creation and the beginning of time. It’s the integration of the divine into the human experience.
I had learned about Klotho before, but it wasn’t until I noticed the asteroid “clotho” (another spelling of the name) was conjunct my ASCendant that I realized this was exactly the symbolic name that aligned with my business.
I believe our life is woven by the cosmos. We are constantly faced with new beginnings, new threads being woven. These unique threads can be seen through the astrological chart and help you illuminate the path that feels meaningful and purposeful.
Astrology is the dance between fate and free will. We all have both, but how we choose to navigate this will directly impact our destinies, as we are the co-creators of our own lives.
You “summon Klotho” every time you:
Begin something you hope will matter.
notice where things "click" into place—those intuitive nudges that suggest you're on the right path.
experience A chance meeting that leads to something big.
Find a symbolic object (like a coin, feather, or key) at a turning point.
The feeling that “something is beginning”—even if you don’t know what yet.
are ready to begin a new journey, path, or beginning
Of Course Klotho is the fate that begins the process, and the other 2 fates are involved. But as suggested in the name, Klotho is the fate that begins. She’s the one that begins the journey - and that’s who I’m here to support.
I’m here to support the women that are ready to transition from something old and begin a new journey. My desire is to help women create a path for themselves that is in alignment with the cosmos.
You’re birth chart is like a spindle, a wheel. You have the power to thread your own destiny.
Thank you all for being here, As I start my own journey In this Business, I look forward to connecting with you.
Until next time.
